Does it work on scanned PDFs?
No. This converter reads the text layer already present in the PDF. If your file is a scan or a photo of a page, run OCR PDF on it first to add a text layer, then convert the result to Excel.
What is the maximum file size?
15 MB on this page, which covers most statements and reports. If your PDF is larger, split it into smaller parts first — the split tool runs entirely in your browser — and convert each part separately.
Does my file stay on my device?

Why did several columns end up merged in one?
Tables drawn without clear column separators, or with cells that wrap onto several lines, can be read as a single column. Excel's Text to Columns, split on the repeated separator, usually rebuilds the structure in a few seconds.
Can I open the result in Google Sheets?
Yes. The output is a standard .xlsx workbook, so Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, Apple Numbers and every version of Excel since 2007 open it directly, with no extra conversion step.
