Why use it

Layout stops moving

A .docx re-paginates when the reader has different fonts, margins or another Word version. The PDF freezes line breaks, page numbers and pagination as they were rendered at conversion time.

No reflow at the other end

The PDF carries its own font data, so a recipient who doesn't have the typeface installed still sees the text laid out as rendered, with no reflow from a missing font. Fonts installed only on your machine are substituted during conversion, so check the preview if your document uses a corporate typeface.

Accepted by portals

Job applications, tender platforms, university registries and government forms usually accept PDF only. Converting the final .docx avoids a rejected upload minutes before a deadline.

If the main engine is briefly unavailable, a fallback path handles .docx with simplified fonts, headers, footers and complex tables. Check the preview before sending.
What is the maximum file size?
15 MB on the public converter. Most text documents sit far below that; a .docx that goes over is usually carrying full-resolution photos, which you can shrink in Word with Picture Format then Compress Pictures before converting.
Does my document stay on my device?
No. Word conversion runs on PDF Vision's servers, so the file is uploaded to be processed. If you need work that never leaves the browser, Merge PDF, Split PDF, Rotate PDF and Watermark PDF run entirely client-side.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
Yes. Both the legacy binary .doc format and modern .docx are accepted. Documents written in Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer or Pages convert too — export them as .doc or .docx first, then upload.
Can I still edit the document after converting?
Not in Word, since a PDF stores a finished layout. Use Edit PDF for text tweaks and annotations, or run PDF to Word to get an editable .docx back from the converted file.
